Early English high-quality silver pair-cased verge pocket watch, circa 1710. Early English verge movement, Egyptian pillars, splendid bridge with a grotesque face, birds and mythical creatures, verge escapement. A plain outer case with case maker’s punch mark BI, the inner case punched ML with a crown above. Champlevé dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes, the escutcheon of a king in the centre and gilt hands. Dial signed, movement signed. Comes with the original corresponding key.
