An important “small” coach clock repeater, with jewels and original chatelaine, made by James Markwick II in London, England, circa 1692. This triple cased watch features a silver protective case full of ornaments with a red jewel in center and the shield of David on back, a 2nd silver case, covered with shagreen, with pierced sound openings and a cambered rim, a 3rd gilt silver case which is pierced and has a bell and a pendant with a large diamond. The original scalloped silver pocket watch dial features an outer ring of Arabic numerals for the minutes, a middle ring with Roman numerals for the hours and an intricately pierced and filigreed central medallion and the extravagant original hands are set with diamonds, one of which is missing. The numbered movement is equipped with a very fine verge escapement with a diamond end stone and an  hours and quarters repeater on a bell.
