Pocket watch with enamel painting on the dial
–
A rare English verge clock watch with polychrome enamel painting on the dial, made by Paul Lullin, circa 1705. The watch features a mechanical movement with a verge escapement. Its silver champlevé dial includes a polychrome enamel portrait at 12 o’clock, Roman numerals for the hours, outer railway minute markers, Arabic numerals for five minute intervals, and a coat of arms in the centre. The hands are in the Louis XV style. The case is smooth silver, and both the dial and movement are signed.
