An English silver pair-cased watch with early balance spring, circa 1690. Full plate gilt brass movement with finely pierced and engraved scrolling to the balance cock, verge escapement, steel three-arm balance wheel with knife edge crossing, silver Arabic regulation, raised above four tulip pillars.
Later white enamel dial with black Roman numerals bordered by arcaded Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals, later blue steel beetle and poker hands.
Unmarked plain silver case with a swivelling bow. Movement signed Daniel Quare.
