A rare English single-handed pair-cased verge watch with day/night display, circa 1801. This pocket watch comes with a silver pair case, matching London Hallmarks from 1804, and watchpaper. The case and movement have the same number, which is 7859. It has an English verge movement with stunning movement decoration. The dial is silver champlevé, and it shows the minutes through a central hand, while the hours are indicated through a marker on the sun and moon in a retrograde manner.
