An English verge in gilt metal and tortoiseshell pair cases, circa 1780. Full plate fire gilt movement with fusee and chain, pierced and engraved balance cock and foot, silver regulator disc, plain three arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring, square pillars. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates.
White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, gold spade hands. The outer case covered in tortoiseshell decorated with gilt pique pins.
