An English pair-cased verge pocket watch with “repoussé” decoration, circa 1750.
Two case: outer case – silver, à goutte, the back side with a mythological scene in high relief, large lateral hinge; inner case – silver, polished. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours and Louis XVI hands. Full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, signed, with chain/fusee, baluster movement pillars, three-arm steel balance and florally engraved and pierced balance bridge.
