An extravagant, big English pair case repoussé verge watch with enamel painting and date by John Wilter London, circa 1760. A silver pair case, 1st case repoussé, enamel cartouche with painting “The present” in the centre, 2nd case smooth, case maker’s punch EC with crown, matching numbers on the case and movement, decorated and early verge movement with worm gear, signed and numbered, original signed champlevé dial with date indication, probably original hands, in very beautiful condition, in working order.
