–
MAURIS FECIT is a Latin phrase that translates to made by the Moors in English. The Moors were Muslim people who inhabited parts of North Africa, Spain, and Portugal during the Middle Ages. The phrase may refer to something created or built by the Moors or is in the style of their culture.
–
Probably they wrote the name of Smiht wrong, and should have been Smith.

Signed: Smiht London
