A very fine French, 20 carat gold and painted on enamel pocket watch, circa 1760.
A Louis XV case, the bezel chased in a geometrical pattern and with painted champlevé enamelled flowers, the back with a fine and amusing painted on enamel scene probably after David II Teniers, The Younger, Antwerpen, 1610 – Bruxelles, 1690, depicting an elderly gentleman receiving treatment for a bunion, outer chased rocaille and geometrical decorated border.

White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic minute numerals and gold Louis XV hands. GiIt brass movement, full plate with pentagonal baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, plain steel three armed balance, gilt brass continental clock with polished steel endpiece, silver regulation dial. The case with Paris hallmarks. Dial and movement signed.
