A French gold and enamel quarter repeating á toc verge pocket watch, circa 1760.
A Louis XV case, the bezel chased in a geometrical pattern and with painted champlevé enameled flowers, the back with a fine and amusing painted on enamel scene. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic minute numerals and gold Louis XV hands. GiIt brass, full plate movement with pentagonal baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, plain steel three armed balance, gilt brass continental clock with polished steel endpiece, silver regulation dial. Repeating on the inside of the case is activated by depressing the pendant.
