A fine French, very small and rare, dumb quarter repeating 18 Carat gold pocket watch, circa 1780. A Louis XVI, engine turned, deep back case. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel Breguet hands. A frosted gilt full plate movement, ring turned tapered pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, four arm brass balance, flat balance spring, foliate pierced and chased continental type balance cock, silver regulation disc, repeating with two hammers on the case activated by depressing the pendant. Movement signed. Case with Paris hallmarks.
