A splendid French 18 carat gold, enamel and pearl-set gentleman’s pocket watch, circa 1800. Frosted gilt full plate movement, signed, key wind, chain and fusee, round movement pillars, verge escapement, three arm brass balance, engraved, pierced balance bridge, silver regulation disc with steel indicator.
The case back with en grisaille scene on translucent cobalt blue enamelling over a guilloché background depicting a couple in the garden surrounded by a white border, the front and back bezel studded with half pearls, pendant with push button to open the front. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and gold poker & beetle hands, signed Breguet à Paris.
