A fine English lever chronograph by Nicole Nielsen in a gold half hunter case, hallmarked London circa 1874. Gilt three quarter plate keyless movement, going barrel. Engraved cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. English table roller lever escapement, escape and lever pivots with end stones. Signed and numbered white enamel dial with flyback center seconds chronograph and subsidiary for continuous seconds at nine o’clock. Roman numerals, blue steel half hunter hands. Engine turned 18 Carat half hunter case with blue enamel chapter ring. Clip on back. Maker’s mark ‘AN’ in a rectangle number corresponding to that on the movement.
