A very fine Art Nouveau French 18K yellow gold, astronomical, open faced, minute repeating keyless pocket watch with perpetual calendar and phases and age of the moon, circa 1900.
Movement with 31 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, “swan-neck” micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band.

Solid, polished and chased case with Art Nouveau initials enhanced with ivy decoration, bezel en suite with ivy garlands, gold hinged cuvette engraved with a dedication dated 1903.
White enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals, outer minute ring, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months of the leap-year cycle, the date and the seconds, aperture for the moon phase. Gold spade hands. Cuvette signed.
