An elegant 18 carat gold and enamel Art Deco keyless dress watch, made by Gübelin in Lucerne, circa 1920. With an American triple date digital calendar. Bezels and bow engraved with foliate pattern. Brushed gilt, offset dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers and outer minute track, day, date and month apertures set below, gilt engraved sword hands. Polished round case, black and blue enamel decorated bezels, stem, and bow. A rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, seven adjustments with blued steel flat balance spring, punched with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark. The dial, case and movement are signed.

In 1848, the brothers Léopold Haas (1827-1915) and Benjamin Haas (1828-1925) founded the ANCIENNE MANUFACTURE DES MONTRES HAAS & CIE in Geneva, later becoming “Ancienne Maison B. Haas Jeune”, then in 1884, “Haas Neveux & Co.” to communicate those new family members who had taken positions in the company.
