Gold lever watch by Patek Philippe
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold manual winding open faced keyless lever watch, complete with a gold chain, circa 1980. This watch features a signed mechanical cal. 17-170 movement with 18 jewels, adjusted for five positions, a lever escapement, and a Geneva hallmark. The signed opaline dial showcases applied Breguet style Arabic numerals, a small second hand, a pearled minute track, and Breguet style hands.
–
It has an 18 carat yellow gold round case with a chiselled bezel and bail and three sailboats engraved on the back. The scene is particularly captivating as it evokes regattas on Lake Geneva, especially the Bol d’Or race in Geneva, where Philippe Stern triumphed multiple times. It is accompanied by a gold chain weight (10.45 g).
