Metal enamel pocket watch by P. Landré
–
An extremely fine rare Belgian metal and enamel pocket watch, circa 1630. The watch features a verge escapement and a metal case adorned with a colourful enamel-painted scene. The enamel dial displays hours in a radial format. It was made by watchmaker P. Landré, active during the mid-17th century, and possibly enameler Henri Toutin, who lived in France from 1614 to 1684. The movement bears the signature P. Landre à Bruselle.
