Extremely rare gold full hunter cased repeater

An extremely rare gold numbered watch with ruby cylinder and repeater in an old box, made by Breguet in Paris, France, circa 1836. The numbered case of this watch is crafted from 18 Carat gold in water drop shape and is finely engine turned on the back lid and has a repeater button to the right of the pendant. The engine turned original dial has Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at the unusual eight o’clock position and original Breguet gold hands. The movement has an extremely fine ruby cylinder escapement and an hours and quarters repeater.
Dial and cuvette are signed.

The watch comes with an extract from the archives confirming its quality and originality, also both case numbers 96/155. According to this, the watch was sold to Madame Janssens in 1836 for 1.600 Fr with a certificate number 4661. Breguet full hunter cased pocket watches are extremely rare.
