A high quality, large, gold verge watch with striking mechanism on a bell, made in Paris, France, circa 1800. The open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and has a bell. The white enamel dial has black Arabic 15 minute numerals, black Arabic hour numerals and gold hands and the numbered movement has an extremely fine verge escapement and an hours and quarter repeater.
The movement is signed.
