Gold hand wound lever pocket watch

A French 18 carat yellow gold full hunter pocket watch, manufactured by E. Enginger in Besançon in the early twentieth century. The watch features a hand wound mechanical movement with lever escapement. Its white enamel dial displays Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track with red Arabic 24 hour markers, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gilt cathedral hands. The 18 carat yellow gold case is engraved with Chronomètre de l’Alliance Horlogère E. Enginger à Besançon and is presented in its original case. The cover and case back are decorated with striations, and the dial guard is engraved with AR.
