French 18 carat pink gold half hunting cased lever pocket watch in chronometer quality with a very rare calibre, circa 1890. Movement with a chronometer quality caliber.
A very solid, signed and numbered, engine turned case, the front with black enamel Roman hour numerals and an inner minute track on a polished chapter ring, hallmarked with the Besançon Viper. The cuvette inscribed Mi Chronomètre Hoas concours Paris 1889. White enamel dial with radial Roman hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five minutes numerals, a subsidiary dial for the seconds at 6 o’clock and original steel hands.
