A French 18 carat gold open faced keywind pocket watch, circa 1900. This watch features a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track with blue Arabic numerals at five minute intervals and intricate filigree hands. It has a case with engraved decoration on the back, and is accompanied by a gold watch chain and winding key. The timepiece lacks its bow, and is marked, as the chain, with a horse head, the chain and key with a further punched eagle head. The movement is fitted with a lever escapement.
