A French 18 carat yellow gold full hunter (savonnette) pocket watch, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. This watch has a three body solid gold case with a spring loaded front cover finely engraved with the initials AB. Both the inner dust cover (cuvette) and the clasp are 18 carat yellow gold. The white enamel dial shows a double set of numerals: Roman numerals for the hours and an inner ring of red Arabic numerals. It also has a railway minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and Louis XV style hands. The watch features a hand wound mechanical lever movement, a crown set via a fluted crown, and an oval bow.
