Gold demi chasseur pocket watch
–
A French 18 carat yellow gold half hunter (demi chasseur) pocket watch dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The solid three body repoussé, engraved, and engine turned case is crafted from 18K yellow gold. It features a central glazed aperture in the front cover, surrounded by Roman numerals to read the time without opening the case. The white enamel dial shows Roman numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and spade hands. The mechanical lever movement is manually wound.
