Gold open faced lever watch

A French 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, made by Maru Lamirault in Paris, dating from the early 20th century. It features a hand wound mechanical lever movement. The white enamel dial displays black Roman numerals for the hours, a railway (chemin de fer) minute track with red Arabic numerals at five minute intervals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and spade hands. The round, solid gold case has a back cover decorated with a JD monogram. The 18 carat yellow gold inner dust cover (cuvette) is signed Maru Lamirault, 170 Faubourg Saint Honoré, Paris.
