A French 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch with date, late 19th to early 20th century. This watch has a hand wound mechanical movement. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals for the hours, an inner ring of red Arabic numerals for the date, an outer railway minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and Louis XV style hands. The back cover is engraved with the initials CM in a foliage motif.
