A French silver open faced calendar pocket watch with an earlier astronomical dial made by Julien Le Roy in Paris, dial circa 1680, case and movement circa 1760. Gilt full plate fusee verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge with steel coqueret, a three arm balance and silver regulation disc. Finely engraved silver face with a subsidiary dial for single hand time, an upper subsidiary for the date with an inner turning disc for moon phases, a left aperture for the month and an aperture for the day as planets on the right. Polished silver consular case. Movement signed.
