A rare, French silver one handed verge pocket watch, circa 1680.
Silver, polished case, the backside with circular ring ornamentation and with a large lateral hinge. Silver, champlevé dial, heart-shaped cartouches with inlaid radial Roman numerals, florally engraved center part and with a blued iron single hand. Fine full plate movement, keywind, signed and gilt, with chain/fusee, fluted baluster movement pillars, three-arm iron balance, fine florally engraved and pierced silver balance cock.
