A fine French gilt, enamel, stone set open faced keywind verge pocket watch, circa 1790. This watch has a cock movement with a verge escapement. The white enamel dial, signed Romilly à Paris, features black Roman numerals, an outer minute track with Arabic fifteen minute numerals, a winding opening at 2, and decorative filigree hands. The case is adorned with a polychrome enamel painted scene that includes figures, set with rhinestones and pearls, and has a rhinestone set bezel. A key is included.
