An exquisite quarter repeating gold enamel verge pocket watch, circa 1770, full plate fire gilt movement, chain/fusee, two hammers, three-arm brass balance, pieced and engraved bridge cock, silver regulator disc with blue steel indicator, nicely engraved movement band.
An 18 carat gold and polychrome enamel case, rear bell, white enamel dial, Roman numerals and Arabic outer.
The back of the pocket watch is decorated with a polychrome enamel portrait of a lady in a frame of blue enamelling and three colour gold flower scrolls.
