Platinum watch with glazed movement

A very fine and rare platinum and rock crystal keyless dress watch, circa 1920. Rock crystal case with faceted border on both sides, platinum band and triangular bow. Silver dial with engine-turned vertical lines, triangular hour indexes on the outer minute ring and blued steel Breguet hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, blued steel flat balance spring, and an index regulator. Dial signed Cartier case punch mark EJ and numbered, movement signed European Watch & Clock Co. Inc.
