A fine Swiss 18K gold, painted and champlevé enamel lady’s pendant watch, circa 1835. An entirely foliate engraved case, the bezel decorated with red, blue, green and white champlevé enamel scrolls, the back cover decorated with a view of St. Mark’s Square from the Venetian lagoon with a sailboat in the foreground, border to match the bezel. Hinged foliate engraved gold cuvette. Silver dial with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, engine turned centre. A matte gilt movement, Lepine calibre, jewelled cylinder escapement, 3-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, and an index regulator.
