An attractive 18 Carat gold enamel pocket watch with pearl rim, made by Valère in Paris, France, circa. 1780. The open faced case is made from 18 Carat gold, is set with half pearls on both sides and has an enamel magnifier painting on the back which is surrounded by sequin inlays. The white enamel dial has Arabic numerals in an outer ring for the quarters and an inner ring for the hours and red gold hands. The movement has a spindle escapement.
