A French gentleman’s quarter repeating “à toc” pocket watch, circa 1800.
Engine turned 18 carat gold case with engine turned band, glazed movement and pusher for repetition via pendant. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, eccentric auxiliary seconds between “3 and 4”, secret signature below “12” and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, 1 hammer, “parachute” shock protection, ruby cylinder escapement, ring balance.
