A French 18 carat multicoloured gold, partially enamelled, keywinding verge pocket watch set with rhinestones, made by Berthoud, circa 1780. The watch features a rooster movement with verge escapement, meeting wheel, and chain fusee. Its white enamel dial displays Roman numerals for hours and Arabic numerals for minutes, with a square winding mechanism at 2 o’clock. The multicoloured gold case is decorated with a silver motif set with rhinestones, partially enamelled and surrounded by flower garlands.
