A decorative quarter repeating gold enamel verge pocket watch with a matching two part silver chatelaine and enamel portraits, circa 1770.
Gold and polychrome enamel case, rear bell, enamel dial, full plate movement, chain/fusee, two hammers, three arm brass balance.
This rococo ensemble consists of a verge pocket watch with chatelaine and has been executed beautifully. The back of the pocket watch is decorated with a polychrome enamel portrait of a lady in period costume in a frame of paste stones and three colour gold flower scrolls. The bezel on the front is set with paste stones and the thumbpiece with a diamond. The corresponding silver chatelaine with watch key and signet shows two oval polychrome enamel medallions with female portraits.
