A fine French platinum open faced pocket watch with matching 18 carat white gold chain made by Cartier, circa 1929. This watch has a mechanical manual wind movement with lever escapement, signed European Watch and Clock Co. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track, and blued steel Breguet style hands. The timepiece is housed in a platinum open faced case with a polished flat bezel, a fluted winding crown, and a triangular suspension bow. The polished back cover is centrally engraved with stylised interlocking Art Deco initials GD. It comes with a matching multistrand woven white gold chain accented with five seed pearl elements.
