A Swiss 18-carat gold verge with date in a gilt case with matching chatelaine, circa 1780. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with polished steel coqueret, a finely engraved plate, plain three-arm steel balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator, engraved bezel Winding through the white enamel dial with date and Roman and Arabic numerals. Gilt hands. Gilt protective outer case with tortoiseshell at the back. Inner case with polychrome enamel at the back. Matching silver and gilt chatelaine.
