A very fine and rare French 18 carat gold deck watch chronometer, circa 1900. This watch features an 18 carat gold case with a finely engraved relief on the back, depicting a Viking portrait. It is powered by a French Ankerchronometer movement equipped with a chronometer balance and steel screws. The white enamel dial is inscribed with Chronomètre Officiel LIP and features black and red Arabic numerals for the hours, a subsidiary seconds dial, and pink gold spade hands.
