French rarity, extravagant verge pocket watch with special case and dial-side “mock pendulum”, circa 1780.
Silver case, both sides glazed with cambered rim, silver high relief scene on back, complex figured scene and case punched PC; full plate movement with verge escapement; original dial with dial-side fine adjusting near numeral “6” and mock pendulum, blued steel hands, keyhole and with probably original key.
