An early French pocket watch with chronograph, a pocket chronometer of exquisite quality, circa 1890.
18K red gold case, fantastic case quality with quadruple pearl rim, and on the back an engraved monogram. Exquisite chronometer movement with lever escapement, cylindrical spiral, wolf teeth, and chronograph. Very nice enamel dial with Arabic radial hours, outer minutes/seconds track with Arabic five minutes/seconds numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and red gold Louis XV-style hands.
