A rare Swiss quarter repeating gentleman’s pocket watch with jumping and stoppable centre seconds, circa 1830.
14 Carat gold case, engine-turned, tiered, à goutte, with gold dome and slide to stop the centre seconds at 5. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, jumping centre seconds, and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, with two hammers / two gongs, two going barrels, cylinder escapement, and three-arm steel ring balance.
