A very fine French coach clock with self-striking and date, circa 1780.
Silver case with sound openings, decorative peripheral engravings, bell and pierced. Fire-gilt main plate movement with cylinder escapement and 2 barrels for gear train and striking train, splendid balance bridge, decorated with birds, very big 5-arm balance, self-striking hours and date. White enamel dial with Arabic minutes, Roman hours, Arabic numerals for the date indication, date hand and Breguet steel time hands. Silver watch chain with probably original key.
