A rare French silver and enamel verge pocket watch, circa 1680.
This watch with a verge movement featuring a stunning silver chased and engraved case adorned with an enamel design of flowers. The inside of the watch is also embellished with an enamel design and has a silver dial that boasts Roman radial hours, half-hour markers, and an outer minutes track with Arabic numerals. It also features a subsidiary dial for the seconds and decorative hands. This timepiece was crafted by Pierre Derssigny, a French watchmaker born in 1646. The movement is signed with his name and the city of Paris.
