French verge pocket watches with revolutionary time are extremely rare as they were only made for a very short period, to wit, between 1794 and 1795. A signed example by Royal watchmaker Gregson, with the dial variant here, is an absolute rarity. Another verge timepiece by Gregson with revolutionary time is known. In 2005, it was auctioned in Geneva, Switzerland.
