A French, exceptionally large and heavy, single hand silver oignon pocket watch with alarm, of museum quality, circa 1690.
Silver oignon case in exceptional size and quality, pierced, splendidly decorated, and bell. Very beautiful enamel dial with radial blue Roman numerals, chased and engraved Arabic numerals in the centre, and a blued steel single hand. Signed verge movement, splendid verge bridge decorated with bird heads, early regulation.
