A unique and very precious French 18 carat gold, enamel and half pearl set verge pocket watch with a portrait of Napoleon, circa 1800-1810.
Unusual verge movement with silver application, letter N (for Napoleon) and rose cut diamonds, plate signed Breguet a Paris.
Signed, white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and steel Breguet hands. Case enameled to both sides, portrait of Napoleon on blue engine turned enamel to the back, surrounded by gold stars, half pearl set, casemaker’s punch JS with crown. Comes with old box from Swedish jeweler. Presumably a precious gift for Napoleon in honor of a special occasion.
