Gold chronograph with grande and petite Sonnerie striking

A French English 18 carat yellow gold, painted on enamel and rose diamond set minute repeating clockwatch, circa 1890. A hunting cased key less pocket watch with a two train clockwatch with Grande and Petite Sonnerie striking and chronograph. A massive case by JW, (master marks), polished, the front cover with a finely painted enamel portrait of a horse rider within a horse shoe set with rose cut diamonds spring loaded front cover. The back is applied with a diamond set monogram with the letters, a protected hand setting button, a thief proof swivel bow and a hinged gold cuvette.

White enamel dial by Willis with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands. Frosted gilt movement, 3/4-plate, 75 jewels, two train with differential winding beneath the dial, jewelled to the third wheel with screwed gold chatons, lateral counterpoised lever escapement, cut bi metallic compensation balance with gold temperature adjustment screws, double over coiled blued steel Breguet balance spring, diamond end stone, index regulator, striking on gongs and repeating activated by a trip slide on the band, Silent Strike and Quarters Full Strike selection levers on the edge of the bezel.
