A French verge in a gold and enamel case, circa 1780. Full plate gilt fusee movement, pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three-arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with blue steel indicator. Winding through the white enamel dial, Roman and Arabic numerals, pierced gold hands. Case chased and engraved, decorated with translucent green and blue enamel.
